Sporos is a puzzle game that combines a great puzzle mechanic with engaging visuals. The objective is to light up the cells in each level with a special seed known as the sporos. Players drag pieces onto the board one at a time, arranging them to extend all the way down every row and column. Sporos demands a mix of skill, luck, and logic; in order to succeed, players will conduct clever experiments like scientists in a lab. The soothing electronic music helps players keep their cool, while the colorful graphics give the game a spacey, biological vibe.

The game starts off easy, but with its 500 puzzles to solve, there's plenty here to keep genre fans amused. In Essential Labs, there are 300 levels that start off simple and progressively get trickier. In Experimental Labs, there are 200 extra levels with mutated sporos that put players' skills to the test.

Sporos has received positive reviews from various sources. AppSpy gives it a score of 4/5 and describes it as having a great puzzle mechanic combined with unusual but engaging visuals. NWCN rates it 5/5, praising it as an addicting and challenging game created by AppXplore. PocketGamer awards it the Bronze Award, highlighting its large number of puzzles and ability to keep genre fans entertained.

Maclife refers to Sporos as a pure puzzle game in the classical sense, with simple rules that quickly expand and iterate. AppAdvice describes it as beautiful, radiant, challenging, and having plenty of content to keep players engaged. The Gamer’s Temple emphasizes the value for money, stating that for just one dollar, players get hundreds of puzzles.

Sporos is available as a universal iOS app for both iPhone and iPad. It also supports Game Center and offers 20 achievements to unlock. For those who may need assistance, hints are available for purchase. Additionally, the developers have promised to release more levels in the future.
